I was a sailer but later on I decided to be a merchant and a trader

Yes I am and to Elizabeth Sherburne

I had two children who were Elizabeth and John. However, John died when he was very young.

What were you doing during the Revolutionary War (1775-1783)?
During the Revolutionary War I fought for the patroits

If you were in the war, what was your rank, did you do anything noteworthy?
On December 14, 1774, I was one of the first Americans to commit treason when I led the attack on Fort William and Mary. King George III had passed a law saying no arms and gunpowder were going to be delivered to America anymore. I went with 400 over men to take the gunpowder to defend New Hampshire
