I graduated from Yale.

After graduating from Yale, I became a minister.

Do you or have you owned slaves?
No, I have never owned slaves. In fact, I fought for slave equality.

Are you married? If you are what is the name of your spouse?
I was never married.

Do you have children? If so, how many? What are there names?
I never had children due to that fact that I was never married.

What were you doing during the Revolutionary War (1775-1783)?
I became a chaplain in the Continental Army.

If you were in the war, what was your rank, did you do anything noteworthy?
I was a chaplain in the Continental Army.

What are three other interesting things about you?
  1. I was on the seven cent "Great Americans" series postage stamp.
  2. I founded the first state-chartered public college in the United States, the University of Georgia.
  3. When my father died, I paid off the family's debt.
